Perris Launches Military Banner Program Honoring Local Service Members

PERRIS — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL REPORT. The City of Perris announced its first Military Banner Program ceremony for October 15, 2026, recognizing approximately twenty local service members and veterans.

A public recognition project

The city planned commemorative banners featuring honorees to be displayed throughout Perris, making military service visible in the public landscape rather than limiting recognition to an annual ceremony.

Where the first ceremony was arranged

The city’s September announcement identified the Perris Theater Lot at 119 South D Street as the gathering location. That date is in the past; the announcement alone does not confirm that every planned banner has been installed.

How families can inquire

Perris Economic Development Department is the official program contact at 951-754-8402. Residents can ask about nomination procedures and whether future rounds will be open, instead of assuming new applications are currently accepted.
