PERRIS — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL REPORT. Perris’ planning department has placed the September 2026 Draft Environmental Impact Report for its Truck Route Plan Update in the public environmental documents directory.
Why truck routes matter
A truck route network can influence neighborhood traffic, freight access, roadway wear, air quality and safety around homes and schools. Residents should review the mapped alignments and project alternatives rather than infer their particular street will change.
Draft review does not equal approval
The city lists both the updated Truck Route Plan and environmental documentation as planning resources. A draft environmental report is a step in the review process, not confirmation that every proposed truck route is already enforceable.
How to follow decisions
Residents can use the municipal Planning Division’s environmental documents portal for the current material and contact the city for hearing and adopted-plan records. Comments should identify a location or issue and use the latest applicable deadline.
